Titus was a young Greek co-worker on the Apostle Paul’s emissary team who had come to faith under his ministry – a gentile convert. Paul had a tremendous affection for and trust in Titus. He often sent him to handle difficult situations, people and places. One such situation was on the island of Crete whom the people had a reputation for being very problematic – a tough place to minister. Titus was sent to set the church in order there. A tough and seemingly impossible assignment for a young pastor. Sometimes God will send us into difficult places. Be encouraged . . . if God sent you, God trusts you and He will empower and equip you.
